Why We Exist...

Young people should have access to continued and consistent educational support throughout their journey to adulthood.

In a world where support and resources are stretched, parents and carers should have a place they know they can go to for educational advice to help their child flourish, whenever they need and for as long as they need... free.

Linking Learning was founded on this idea.

The Vision...

Hello,

A decade ago, I made the decision to move from private industry into the education sector. Originally working in schools in Lancashire and Merseyside, I now teach in Cumbria. During those 10 years, I have been humbled by the endless dedication of school staff, parents and carers and their desire to provide the best for young people.

I created Linking Learning as a consistent and long term support for parents, carers and their children through each phase of their education, from early years to their first job interview. A place parents and carers know they can go to at any point in time.

Linking Learning aims to work closely with parents, carers and all educational establishments and initiatives with the goal of nurturing happy, aspiring young people.

The journey

Linking Learning founded by Terentius Jackson and a small team of talented individuals assembled with a vast array of experience within the education sector.

Phase 1 (2019)

Launch our online advisory service to support parents and carers with their children's education which can be accessed as many times as needed, for as long as needed. Develop a support service for schools and teacher trainees.

Phase 2 (2020)

Expand the school and parent/carer advisory service. Develop an outreach programme providing opportunities for parents/carers to access high quality tutoring, mentoring and coaching for their children.

Phase 3 (2021 onwards)

Develop a programme of bespoke, purposeful apprenticeships and social projects, tailored to young people's individual needs.
